Meeting of members of the Network of Central Asian NGOs «CANDY»
From 21 to 22 April, 2014 a meeting of members of the Network of Central Asian NGOs «CANDY» was held in resort “Aurora” of Issyk Kul, Kyrgyzstan.
The meeting was organized by the Central Asian and European organizations jointly implementing the project “Economic Development in Central Asia through promotion of BIOs and SMEs in the food processing sector” (EcoDev) funded by the European Union program “Central Asia - Invest III”.
Since 2012, Network is supported by the Austrian non-governmental international organization Hilfswerk Austria International (HWA).
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the achieved results of the Network activity and elaboration of recommendations and proposals to revitalize the activity of the Network.
The meeting was attended by representatives of regional NGOs of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, officially registered in their countries which are interested in achieving the goals and objectives of the Network.
At the meeting, it was decided to rename the Network. Now the Network is called “Central Asian Network CANDY” and it may include all sectors of society.
