Is funded by the European Union and implemented by Hilfswerk Austria International in partnership with the “Institute for Economic Promotion at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber”, the “National Association of Small & Medium Enterprises”, the “Association of Scientific and Technical Intelligencija”, the Public Consulting Organization “Markazi Idorakunii Sifat” and the Public Organisation “Neksigol Mushovir” in Tajikistan, as well as the Association of Fruit & Vegetable Enterprises, AgroLead and TES-Centre in Kyrgyzstan.

Economic Development in Central Asia through promotion of BIOs and SMEs in the food processing sector

Since December 2013 began 2 - year project “ Economic Development in Central Asia through promotion of BIOs and SMEs in the food processing sector” (EcoDev) The project will be implemented in Kyrgyz Republic (Batken) and Tajikistan (Sughd oblast), as well as activities for the development of relations will be inKazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan . Overall Objective to project: To contribute to the stimulation of private sector development with an emphasis on the growth and expansion of export-oriented SMEs in Central Asia SpecificObjective:  Increase the role and competency of Central Asian Business Intermediary Organizations (BIOs) with the aim of further development of and support to SMEs.  Improving business and investment climate in the region, including economic integration and shaping a favourable legislative basis for the development of the food processing sector with high added value products The project is implemented Hilfswerk Austria International in partnership with WirtschaftskammerÖsterreich (Wirtschaftsförderungsinstitut WIFI), PO Association of Scientific and Technical Intelligentsia of Tajikistan (ASTI) National Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Tajikistan (NASME) Training & Extension System (TES-Centre) Public Organization “Association of Fruit & Vegetables Enterprises of Kyrgyzstan” (AFVE)

An integrated approach to the promotion of SME

Representation of Hilfswerk Austria International in Tajikistan in cooperation with partners executes the project "Integrated approach towards promoting Central Asian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) for the processing of nuts, dried fruits and honey." The project goal is the full development of the processing sector in Central Asia by strengthening the capacity of specialized business intermediary organizations to improve the quality of services offered to SMEs, and the promotion of regional integration in Central Asia in the global market. ЦЕЛЬЮ ПРОЕКТА является всестороннее развитие перерабатывающего сектора в Центральной Азии посредством укрепления потенциала специализированных бизнес-посреднических организаций для улучшения качества услуг, предлагаемых МСП, и продвижение региональной интеграции Центральной Азии в мировой рынок.
