Umed: a club that does not want a cow...

Umed Club, i.e. "Hope" - in many respects exceptional. Firstly, belonging to him women are not Tajik, their ancestors arrived in the territory of Uzbekistan. Second, they are clear from the outset set a goal: they want to have each of them had their own greenhouse - which is associated with greenhouses bulk of the activities of the club.

Last year, they bought the materials needed for the construction of greenhouses. "With this improved our standard of living" - says happy leader of club, Kurbongul Mirzorahimova. Net income from planting and growing was 1500 TJS. Due to this they can build a greenhouse for two ordinary women from the club. This year, the funds from this project they have created two more. The club is now 6 greenhouses! Cooked women seedlings will be separated in all greenhouses.

Leader of club, Kurbongul Mirzorahimova has full of energy. She leads us to the cotton field, and shows us how to collect it - she is very clever, it is easy to believe that she can collect more than 100 kg per day! Tajikistan is one of the last countries in which cotton is harvested by hand.

What did provide the club project in the current year? The first opportunity is to meet with representatives of clubs from the north of Tajikistan. Consultants explained to them how to work with the foundation of the club - eg. How to provide mini-loans to members? They also advised not to be limited to one activity, but try to develop in different directions. For example, sew clothes, do national embroidery, which is now highly regarded, especially among brides who are prepared dowry.

Consultants showed women how to lead clubs in the north of its documentation, but on this occasion Kurbongul has an opinion: "Documentation lead in their own way, not the way they are. In our documentation preserved minutes of meetings of the club, the club's decision; each of the women has a private folder with the application for membership and a photo. "

Seven women in the club engaged in greenhouses, three - sewing. This year, three of ladies participated in a 10-day course, after which they spent five courses for members of the club. Davlatmocho Abdukarimzoda, who graduated from the 10-day course, taught for a month, 10 more people from outside the club. "Girls from high school and those already graduated from school, from 8 August to early September came every day, I tried to teach them what I can myself" - says Davlatmocho. "The girls brought their sewing machines. Each of the students paid 60 Somoni per month - 20 received the club, 40 - Davlatmocho. Studies had to be temporarily stopped due to the beginning of the agricultural season - picking cotton.

Over half of the money received under this project, the club bought a sewing machine Super Yamata. The rest parts are materials for the construction of greenhouses. We ask, why they did not want to buy a cow? Kurbongul, leader, laughing: "We do not want a cow! Have to wait for almost a year, until it is not a hotel, it will not be up to it from any benefit. I do not have so much patience; I can not sit so long in place. This is risky, cow might get sick. We prefer the greenhouse! "
