A seminar on the topic “Conflict and Violence”

A seminar on the topic “Conflict and Violence” was held in the “Sharq” mahalla of the city of Khujand. The event was held together with the department for work with women and families of the executive body of state power Khujand city. This event was held to increase the capacity and awareness of the population. During the seminar participants discussed such themes as, conflict, violence, the difference between conflict and violence, types of conflict, and the ways to resolve conflict without violence. By working in groups, the participants expressed their own opinion.
This event is held by PO "ASTI" with the support of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe

Pandemic as a cause of the increase of domestic violence

The spread of COVID-19 in Tajikistan particularly in the Sughd region, has led to an increase in the number of cases related to domestic violence. One of the reasons for the drastical increase of aggression in families is a pandemic. Thus, experience shows that burnout syndrome, aggression, and panic attack are growing among the population.
