A child needs ATTENTION!

Within the framework of the project “Supporting civil society in applying Community Based Rehabilitation for persons with disabilities in Ayni district”, implemented in partnership with the Branch of the German Caritas Association in Tajikistan and with financial support of the European Union the first of two trainings on alternative communication for community based rehabilitation workers was held in Ayni.

There may be various causes why a child does not speak or speaks bad. The various approaches as well should be used for every child. But the same point joins all these approaches is attention on the child. “A child needs ATTENTION!” – says trainer on alternative methods of communication Ricardo Muller, who more than 10 years works with children with disabilities in rehabilitation center for disabled children in Chorbog. During the training Ricardo shared with the participants the methods of work with disabled children having problems with communication as a result of infantile cerebral paralysis, development lag and other causes. 

This training was held within the framework of the project on “Supporting civil society in applying Community Based Rehabilitation for persons with disabilities in Ayni district”, which is funded by the European Union and Caritas Germany and implemented with support of Local Government Authority of Ayni district and in close partnership with public organizations “ASTI” and “DARO”.
