PR-campaign on the topic "Water - source of life on Earth"

The action on the topic "Water - source of life on Earth" was held on September 22, 2010 in Vocational School № 74 of Asht district and on September 24, 2010 in Agroindustrial Vocational Lyceum of J. Rasulov district. The action was carried out within the framework of the project “Poverty alleviation in Tajikistan through education and non – formal training” (PATENT).

The representatives of mahalla committees, pupils of secondary schools, teachers and students of educational institutions were invited to participate in the action. Experienced trainers from NGO "Youth Group on Protection of Environment» (YGPE) Parviz Akilov and Mashhur Pochoev have been invited for organization and conduction of action.

The program of action included watching of popular films about water, the problem of its pollution, discussion, games and quiz on theme "Water for Life". Also, memorable holidays of the month were reminded, such as: International Day of Peace, World Maritime Day, International Ozone Day and the Day without a car. Quiz questions were mostly about water and memorable holidays of the month.

The same PR-actions were held in target institutions of primary vocational education of Khatlon region on September 15 in Vocational Lyceum of Chemical Industry of Sarband town on the topic "Youth – creative power of society" and on September 14 in Vocational School № 16 of Vose district on the topic "Ecology of my district.".

Totally about 700 people attended these actions.

TRC SM-1, local and regional newspapers of districts, such as “Ikbol”, “Shuhrati Asht”, “Proletar tongi” have been invited to cover the actions in media. The participants of the action were active during the discussions of issues about water and the most distinguished participants were awarded with prizes.
