Increased information capacity for local governance

Baseline study on the project ”Improving the information capacity for local governance "(2006)

Objectives:

- Determining the level of living of Isfara district households and obtaining basic information for subsequent evaluation of the effectiveness of development programs, which includes:

- Assessment of the households status;

- Assessment of local capacity, including capacity management, civil society and private sector capacity;

- Definition of the initial picture of households that will determine progress in program development;

- Ensure area/Jamoat development Committees with methodology and tools to perform basic research.

This study was timely and important event, which allowed obtaining the initial picture of Isfara district households, potential area and Jamoat. Conducting research in all 12 jamoats district and Isfara allowed to obtain an overall picture of the situation throughout the region and to develop the most appropriate recommendations for improving local governance. The results of basic research will serve as basis for the establishment extended database on the basic parameters of life-support area and will help to display scientifically changes of poverty level in the dynamics. In addition, the availability of baseline information will serve as the basis elaboration of strategic plans for development of Isfara district.

Peace begins with us

In honor of the International Day of Peace, on 21st of September, 2020, at the Lyceum of Polytechnic Institute in Khujand under the name of M.Osimi, within the framework of the project "Peace begins with us", open lessons were held among students of 9 "A" and 7 "B" grades.
