The history of the women's club Istiklol

The changes that occurred in the village of Komsomol, which operates Istiklol Women's Club, exceeded our wildest expectations. Production of the club was changed with many new models, and women, through participation in seminars, have changed.

The club members began to work with patterns from the magazine Burda, and even sew skirts, vests, jackets and trousers. By showing how easy it is to sew a lock, a consultant Dilrabo Rahmatboeva, also gave a lot of practical advice. In addition, in early summer women began to sew women's and men's suits. In Tajikistan, there is a technology embroidery Karama. Women sew pillowcases, kurpachi, baking dish of many small pieces of different fabrics, forming geometric shapes.

Women continue to sew items of clothing and jewelery for the bride, in particular, traditional wedding dress and tyubiteyka (headgear).

This year, the women decided to allocate a grant from the project "The Power of women in women's clubs. Entrepreneurship in practice" to buy cows. Members Istiklol club decided it would be better to buy calves and pay from the fund the Club 260 somoni (approx. $ 35), and thus, in three families were calves. One calf took Barfimo Rakhimov. The other is called "singer" (constantly mumbles) was transferred to the care of Bahorgul Tuychieva. And the third - to Rachabbi Kayumova. About a cow, which was acquired in the first year of operation, has taken care leader Saidmoniso Club. This cow does not give milk, and they decided to sell it. The new cow calf was born in November. The women decided to continue to expand the herd, because they would like to open a small café in the future. At the same time, the idea arose at the very beginning of the club in 2013. Then in the village did not have candy, cakes and residents had to travel to Qurghonteppa, 20 km from the village.

Barfimo keeps records of the women's club Istiklol and together with the leader and participated in the preparation of "Accounting and taxation of economic activity in Tajikistan" and "business culture and cross-sector partnerships" to help in its work.

After adding all the costs and profits, it was found that in comparison with the beginning of the year, the club fund doubled - less than 650 somoni, now it is 1350 somoni (over $ 200).

If the club will continue to grow at this pace, the opening of the confectionery in the village Komsomol may be sooner than they expect.

The Project co-financed by the Polish development cooperation programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland..
