Program Research and Advocacy

Program Research and Advocacy of ASTI implemented since 2003. During this time, the program performed a series of studies aimed at examining the issues of poverty and the effectiveness of development programs, and the results of these studies later became the basis of project activities. Component Advocacy Program began to implement since 2006, when ASTI realized the need to impact on macro-level to strengthen the voice and role of civil society in reducing poverty in the country.

Currently, the Program Research and Advocacy is focused on promoting civil society participation in monitoring the implementation of development programs; Asses the effectiveness of existing programs and projects; Develop and conduct information campaigns to raise public awareness through the study on poverty and development.

Study tour: experience exchange and networking

A delegation consisting of government lawyers and advocates from Isfara, Khujand and B. Gafurov district of Sughd region visited Dushanbe and Yovon district of Khatlon region to study the experience of colleagues in providing qualified assistance to victims of sexual and gender violence.

Women and religion

On January 26-27 a training “Women and religion” will be held in Osh. This is the second event on study of basics of religious processes which is conducted specifically for the representatives of the organizations- members of the Network “Dolina Mira”.
