Program Research and Advocacy
Program Research and Advocacy of ASTI implemented since 2003. During this time, the program performed a series of studies aimed at examining the issues of poverty and the effectiveness of development programs, and the results of these studies later became the basis of project activities. Component Advocacy Program began to implement since 2006, when ASTI realized the need to impact on macro-level to strengthen the voice and role of civil society in reducing poverty in the country.
Currently, the Program Research and Advocacy is focused on promoting civil society participation in monitoring the implementation of development programs; Asses the effectiveness of existing programs and projects; Develop and conduct information campaigns to raise public awareness through the study on poverty and development.

There are many active youth in Tajikistan and they can be a great force for positive social change. They speak clearly and when given the opportunity, they can be strong advocates of their views on various issues.
UPSHIFT is a 4-day training conducted at the Innovation Labs and we consider creativity to be an untapped resource and a driving force for positive social change. As a creative space, the Lab identifies, prototypes and scales technologies and practices that catalyze the social change by unleashing the creative potential of youth and adolescents. It allows teenagers to identify personal development, knowledge, national and universal values, problems of the society in which they live, and use new tools in developing their future plans.The goals consist of four important parts: understanding, designing, building and testing, and the final UPSHIFT phase is making it real, and additional mentorship to help turn their ideas into action.
The training was held at the Innovation Lab of Asht district with participation of 32 adolescents. Training teaches the participants to understand community challenges and design and build impactful solutions.
This event was held by the PO "ASTI", within the framework of the project "Skills for future and transition to work life" with the support of UNICEF Tajikistan.

The purpose of holding joint events is to establish friendly relations between the youth of the border communities of the two countries. Through the organization and implementation of these events, young people develop their leadership qualities, establish relations with local authorities.
