Gender Equality

Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but also an essential foundation for achieving peace, prosperity and sustainable development. And when a child or teenager experiences gender discrimination in early childhood, the consequences can be serious.
In order to raise awareness among young people and adolescents, the NGO "ANTI" held a seminar on the topic "Gender Equality" in the target zones of the project. A student of local schools and students of Khujand State University named after B. Gafurov were selected as the participants of this event. During the seminar, the participants discussed “What is gender ?, Geder equality, Stereotypes, Roles of men and women”. By the method of work in groups, they held discussions, showed their leadership qualities.
Also, the youth asked questions to the project specialists on the chosen topic.
This event is held by PO "ASTI" in the framework of the project "Women's Resource Center" with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe.
