US Embassy in Tajikistan supports project on preventing domestic violence
Beginning from September 2018 Public Organization “Association of Scientific and Technical Intelligentsia of Tajikistan” implements the project “Family without violence” supported by the US Embassy in Tajikistan. Implementation period: September 01, 2018 – August 31, 2019.
Target project areas: Surkh, Chorku and Vorukh jamoats of Isfara city.
The goal of the project is to promote to reduce the number of cases of domestic violence, cases of early and forced marriages, abolishing the tradition of “early marriage”.

Within the framework of the project “Peace and cooperation begins with us”, in 29-30 November 2016 PO ASTI in partnership with the Health Department of Sughd region, and the Executive Body of State authority of Sughd region and with the financial support of the International Organization UNICEF, a cross-border event was held on exchange of experience between representatives of the social sector of Sughd region of Tajikistan and Batken region of the Kyrgyz Republic.

On December 4, a meeting was held on community safety issues in Somoniyon village. Project staff wanted to make sure that young people fully understand the process of community safety and can determine the security issues of target communities.
