Peace begins with us

The 22^nd of November, 2015 year, in the framework of the project “Peace begins with us” which is financing by UNICEF was conducted cross border activity “Belt wrestling” between youth and adults of border districts of Kyrgyz Republic and Republic of Tajikistan in Amphitheatre of Unji jamoat, Arbob, B.Gafurov district. The purpose of the activity was to make a friendly relationship between youth of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Sportsmen represented Sughd region, Batken and Jalalabad regions.

This activity was conducted after celebrating the day of Flag in B.Gafurov district. At the beginning of the activity, welcoming speech was given to chair deputy of B.Gafurov district A.Manonzoda. He congratulated all with international day of flag and greeted with all participants of wresting and wished them good luck. Further, congratulating speech was given to the executive director of PO ASTI, Boymurodova Malika, sector head on youth, sports and tourism affairs of Sughd region Mirdadoev Zarifjon, sector head on youth, sports and tourism affairs of B.Gafurov district Zoidov Olimjon.

Belt wrestling was conducted in several weight categories. All winners were awarded with valuable prizes. The primary prize was Television, refrigerator and carpet. Refrigerator and carpet were won by fighters of Kyrgyzstan, and television was won by fighter of Isfara city.

In general, the activity passed benevolent and positive. All fighters, trainers and judges were satisfied from the organization of the activity.
