Study tour to Hand-carpet-making shop in Khujand

On May 10 of this year, a study tour was organized for the participants of YCG and other residents of Khojai Alo village and participants from the Kyrgyz Republic, who wanted to get more acquainted with the technology of hand-carpet making.

The participants of the study tour were met by the staff of the PO ASTI, after which all together went to the hand-carpet making shop of JSC “Zinnat".

The participants were warmly greeted at JSC “Zinnat”, the founder of JSC “Zinnat” is Mr. Ziyabaev Maksud Murodovich, he told about the history of the creation of TPS (training and production shop) “Sheroz”.

As noted Ziyabayev M. M., Republic of Tajikistan has all the resources and a historical source of manual carpet making, as well as our government constantly supports this direction. Participants were told in detail and explained the difference between the Tajik, Iranian, Afghan and Kyrgyz style of carpet weaving. It was also explained the difference between types of carpets, palas, materials, paints, wool of which these carpets are made.

By the end of the meeting, all the participants were satisfied with the familiarization meeting, and during a conversation with some of them we could see their desire to learn this trade in the future and start a carpet-making business in order to obtain a stable income for their families.
