I am for a safe labor migration
Continuing PR-cultural activities under the project "Poverty alleviation in Tajikistan through education and non - formal training" in partner institutions of primary vocational education were held actions on the theme "I'm for a safe labor migration".
This time the actions took place on the 21st of October in vocational school № 31 of Khujand and on the 27th of October in vocational school № 14 of Istaravshan. On the 15th of October the action took place in vocational school № 60 of Vakhsh district on the topic "Prevention of natural disasters".
Secondary school students, representatives of near located mahalla committees, as well as students of short term courses and teachers of vocational school were invited to participate in the action.
After acquaintance with participants the film "We go to Russia…" was shown to participants to motivate them for discussion. After it they listed and discussed the problems with which labor migrant faces going abroad for work, and ways of prevention of these problems.
For the effective and useful conduction of action different methods of teaching and informing about the legal aspects of labor migration (brainstorm, show of film, discussion, questions and answers, mini lecture) were used.
At the beginning of the legal aspects of labor migration participants were asked to answer the question, what documents labor migrant should take when going for work abroad.
Trainers summarized participants’ answers, and it was clarified which of documents should take labor migrant and what is their help and use in labor migration. Also, participants were explained that labor migrant should make multiple copies of each document and leave one copy with their relatives.
During the action participants received information about the current passport system of the Republic of Tajikistan, how to obtain passports, both national and foreign, including biometrics.
In addition, participants were given information on how to cross the state border (customs and border controls), were explained the procedure of filling in the migration card of Russian Federation, the order of the migration registration, rules and procedures for obtaining work permits and the patent for carrying out work for individuals, employment, taxation from income of labor migrants, health care and sending money.
Participants of the action actively participated in the sessions, asked questions clarifying some issues and on those moments that were not covered by the program of trainers’ speech.
During the action participants were handed out customs declaration forms, migration card of citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan, Russian Federation migration card, the form of notification of the migration registration, application forms for permission to work and patent.
Participants, who gave correct answers for quiz questions were awarded with memorable prizes by organizers of the action.
It should be noted that for participants who represent different categories of citizens, the fate of labor migrants who go to work in other countries, is not indifferent. The population of the country needs to improve his legal awareness on various aspects of labor migration.
As a result of conducted actions nearly 310 participants were informed about the various problems and risks of labor migration, and ways of prevention and crossing, the legal aspects of labor migration, the rules and procedure for receipt of any documents, etc. and 150 participants were informed about ways of disaster prevention.
For media coverage TV and TRC “Sughd” and “TV Sughd” were invited.
