Meeting with the adults of Somoniyon village in school № 64

On November 15, a meeting was held with adults of Somoniyon village in school № 64. The aim of the meeting was to know the opinion of the local adults about their personal safety and the local community security to identify and characterize problems concerning the safety of the community.

At the beginning of the meeting, after acquaintance with participants brief information has been given about the project, the work done and the planned steps. It should be noted that all the participants were males, and they lived by processing their land. Since the project staff met with all the participants for the first time, they provided information about the project in detail.

Further, participants were asked the following question with method of brainstorming: "What do you mean by security?”. All participants responded the question, and as a result we had a list of problems.

During the development of the list of problems, participants wanted to discuss the ways of problems’ solving immediately. And as it turned out, most of these problems are related with the use of the disputed territories.

Exchange visits between representatives of the social sector of Sughd region of Tajikistan and Batken region of Kyrgyzstan

Within the framework of the project “Peace and cooperation begins with us”, in 29-30 November 2016 PO ASTI in partnership with the Health Department of Sughd region, and the Executive Body of State authority of Sughd region and with the financial support of the International Organization UNICEF, a cross-border event was held on exchange of experience between representatives of the social sector of Sughd region of Tajikistan and Batken region of the Kyrgyz Republic.
