Keeping up with the time

On March 1, 2013 the project "Keeping up with the times" was launched in two districts of Khatlon region in Tajikistan. The project is implemented in partnership with the Foundation “Education for Democracy” (FED) and is supported by the Fund of Solidarity within the program "Support for democracy", financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.

 On April 20, 2013 a meeting was held in the office of NGO "Hamroz", which operates in Bohtar district.

This organization works to combat domestic violence, and it will be involved in the process of working with women's clubs. At the meeting 4 target jamoats were selected:

In Bohtar district - Bokhtariyon and Zargar

In Vakhsh district - Tojikobod and Kirov

As a result, 10 women's clubs were formed, in each of which workshops were held on the topic "Why we need a women’s club?”, “Formation of the team".

Women took active part in workshops and all were interested in experience of "ASTI" for women's clubs of Sughd.

They also expressed their hope for long-term project. The project will continue until the end of November 2013. Women will participate in the same seminars on the basis of entrepreneurship, on leadership and will plan activities in their clubs.

On February 22-23, 2022 PO ASTI carried out two-day workshop for the state lawyers and advocates of Bokhtar, Vose, Yovon, Jo,I, Balkhi, Qubodiyon and other districts of Khatlon region on providing victims of violence with legal concealing within the framework of the project “To build the capacity and increase the gender sensitivity of Judges, Police Officers and state legal aid lawyers for more effective investigation, prosecution and adjudication of SGBV related cases".
