Celebration of Navruz Holiday in Khojai Alo

On March 23, a joint cross-border event was held at the territory of school named after Momunov of Orto-Boz village, the Kyrgyz Republic. This event was devoted to the international holiday “Navruz”.

The purpose of the event was to assist in strengthening mutual understanding, trust and cooperation in target communities of tashtumshuk, Orto-Boz and Khojai Alo, through a joint international celebration of Navruz holiday.

The event included the following:

- Speech of the representatives of community and authority;

- Holiday and friendship dinner, and national pilaf;

- Conduction of a football among men and volleyball among women;

- Conduction of cultural events: holiday games, songs, dances, reciting of poems, etc.;

- Prizes for the winners;

- Reading the "Koran" by the elders of target communities.

After the awarding of prizes and gifts, all the participants of Navruz holiday sat at the festive table andate delicious pilaf.

At the end of the event village elders and aksakals thanked everyone for their celebration of this holiday and wished everyone peace and prosperity, as well as the success of the project implementation and read the “Koran”.

Tajik youth had a trip to Maksad

Today in the school of Maksad jamoat, KR the Festival of friendship of the inhabitants of the bordering villages was held: Ovchi - kalacha and Maksad. The event was held by the Public Foundation for International Tolerance in Kyrgyzstan in partnership with the Association of Scientific and Technical Intelligentsia of Tajikistan with the support of the United Nations Development Program in the framework of the project Strengthening cooperation between the youth of the border communities of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan”.
