Seminar on "From challenges to the project"

The two-day seminar on the theme "From challenges to the project" opens a series of workshops to be implemented within the project "Public Initiative - the key to the development of Tajik villages." The seminar, which was conducted by Coordinator of the project - Malika Boymuradova by ASTI and Martina Kwiatkowska from Polish organization Education for Democracy Foundation, was attended by 40 people. This 20 women - members of the Women's Club (two representatives from each club) as well as the 2 neighborhood committees each village. Assistant and translator is Gulnora Suvonkulova that is fluent in Tajik, Uzbek and Russian languages.

The aim of the seminar is to increase competence in the field: the writing and implementation of projects, planning, cross-sectoral cooperation and identifying priority issues and ways to address them.

The seminar was held April 20 - 21 in Kurgan - Tube.

The project is carried out at the expense of Democracy Support Programme, which is funded under the program of the Polish Development Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland. During the session, which took place the first day of the workshop, one of the objectives of the participants was to identify areas of women's clubs and Mahalla committees. The representative of the mahalla committee Qosimov Bakhor says the actions implemented in the village of Komsomol.

Identification of the problems of the village to address in the draft by the method of PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal, i.e. rapid, focused on the people of the planning development of rural areas) and the definition of the highest priority issues. Participants stressed that the first time they were able to organize open meetings, during which discussed issues and make some decisions. The locals willingly participated in them, were pleased with the cooperation created between the mahalla committees and sororities.

Courses on cooking are going

Courses on cooking are going on in Bobojon Gafurov district, jamoat Shakhrak. Participants got new skills and knowledge in preparing various dishes, pastry and, salads during the course.
