The project “Promotion of rural inhabitants opportunities though participation and education for life”

On March 1, 2014 “Association of scientific and technical intelligentsia of Tajikistan” in partnership with the Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (dvv international) implement the project “Promotion of rural inhabitants’ opportunities through participation and education for life” (PROPEL). This project is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of German.

The main objective of the project is to contribute to meet the needs of residents of J. Rasulov district to additional education, including vocational education aimed at training and retraining, as well as life skills.

The project aims to provide adult unemployed people the opportunity to learn a profession in the shortest possible time on the basis of Engineering and Pedagogical College of J. Rasulov district.
In this project the courses on “Sewing”, “Baking” and “Accountant with computer knowledge”. Teachers of courses use interactive teaching methods which they have learned in trainings within the previous projects of “ASTI”.
These courses are three months, and during the courses required number of hours allocated to the study of the theory and the acquisition of practical skills. It should be pointed out that in the framework of the program of courses women also study Russian language, a market economy, and human rights.
