Teach our friends

Under the project “Power of women in women's clubs. Transfer of experience from the north to the south of Tajikistan” from June 17 to 21, 2014 5-day courses were conducted on sewing in villages. These courses were held after the training courses on sewing for members of women’s clubs of Khatlon region in the “Adult education center” of Kurgan-tube town. The courses were organized to raise sewing skills of rural women. After completing the course, participants received certificates of skilled seamstresses. In the countryside seamstress profession is very popular. Because of the low living standard many families are unable to educate their daughters and wives. Conducted 5-day courses in the villages were timely. Women reacted very responsibly to these courses. Members of women’s clubs who were trained in sewing courses in the center, were willing to train other members. They were prepared, both theoretically and practically.

The Project co-financed by the Polish development cooperation programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
