Community Initiatives - the key to the development of the Tajik village

Public organization "Association of Scientific and Technical Intelligents of Tajikistan" in partnership with the Foundation for Education for Democracy (Poland) and the NGO "Khamroz" in February 2015 in the Khatlon region of Tajikistan. We have launched a project called "Community Initiatives - the key to the development of the Tajik village", which aims to strengthen the capacity of local communities and civil society in the 10 villages of the Khatlon region of Tajikistan. The project will be concluded 10 intersectoral partnerships, which will include neighborhood committees, and women's clubs, as well as representatives of the local community. In each of the 10 villages and will be implemented by 1 project, whose goal is the solution of at least one problem, stated the villagers during the analysis of problems. Besides, as Mahhalinskie committees and women’s Club to strengthen their operational capacity through the participation of their representatives in a series of 4-days workshops to increase competence in writing and project implementation planning, cross-sectoral cooperation and identify priority problems and their solution. The project contains significant information component, on which, in cooperation with the Tajik local press and television coverage will be prepared and articles about the realizing project activities.
