Women’s initiatives - step to success!

Within the framework of the project “Power of women in women’s club. Transfer of experience from the North to the South of Tajikistan”, the program of funding of women's initiatives completed. Each club has prepared its business plan, where justified its choice of business.

Money for initiative of the women was gathered from all over Poland. Women bought manual sewing machines in the amount of 22 pcs, 4 overstitching machines, 6 electric sewing machines “Chayka” and 1 sewing machine “Yamata”. Also Women’s Club “Umed” received funds for the construction of greenhouses, as well as 2 cows were bought for 2 clubs.

The total value of purchased and delivered to the women equipments, cows amounted to more than 25 000 somoni.

In their activities women use a joint approach and use machines for sewing of clothing, bed linen, tablecloths, curtains. As women themselves noted after receiving machines the quality of their products was significantly different, they became marketable. The knowledge obtained in the courses of cutting and sewing help them to use the sewing machine more correctly and carefully and sew high-quality products. Two clubs decided to purchase cows; they consider that members of their club need dairy products for their household. Interest received from women who received cows will go to Fund of the club, and this will be another step for the sustainability of these clubs.
