City Fair "Make Your Choice"
In order to inform school leavers and unemployed adults on educational services of vocational educational institutions and universities, the Executive Authority of Hukumat of Khujand town and PO “ASTI” within the project " Poverty alleviation in Tajikistan through education and non-formal training" funded by the European Commission will conduct a fair on the theme " Make your choice.
The right choice of a profession largely determines the fate of man. Vocational orientation of school-leavers should be an ongoing process, but not limited with traditional "Days of Open Doors" in vocational educational institutions. In many High Schools beginning from September up to December the admission of students for preparatory courses begins. This fair will enable higher educational institutions to inform their future entrants about the conditions of admission to preparatory courses, about the possible benefits of admission.
Along with school-leavers and unemployed adults of working-age also require attention. Season of work in labor migration in Russia is declining, and people are returning home for the winter. It is no secret that many of these labour migrants often go to seek fortune without proper training. Institutions of primary and secondary vocational education will be able to present at the fair information about their services not only to school leavers but also to adults offer the opportunity to learn a profession in a short term courses of different duration in these institutions.
At the fair vocational educational institutions will also prepare information boards / corners. Institutions of primary and secondary vocational education can also exhibit the works of their students. Boards of the participants of the fair will be grouped according to category of institution of vocational education and universities. Among the relevant categories of institutions it is planned to conduct competition for the best information board / corner. Specially organized commission will determine the winners of the competition. Criteria for the competition: informative, the format of information presentation and attractiveness.
And for students and unemployed people will be conducted different quizzes, entertaining games.
