Film on “Long life learning education”

In order to promote the idea of adult education and improve the image of institutions of primary vocational education was shot a film on the theme "Long life learning". The film was shot within the framework of the project "Poverty Alleviation in Tajikistan through Education and Non-formal Training" funded by the European Commission together with the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany.

The project is implemented by the Institute for International Cooperation under the German Association People’s Universities (dvv international) in partnership with the Association of Scientific and Technical Intelligentsia (ASTI) of Tajikistan.

All 10 partner institutions NGOs were shot in the film, as well as all four main activities of the project. In particular, the activities directly affecting the unskilled adults, activities that contribute to the strengthening of Vocational School management as a whole, the activities associated with the creation of advisory services to the population of region, activities that help to improve the image of a renewed system of VET in tajik society.

The students of short term courses, teachers of the partner institutions of NGOs and their directors were interviewed in the film.

Also the manager of projects financed by the European Commission in Tajikistan, Ambassador of the European Commission in Tajikistan and the Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan were interviewed.

In his interview the Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan Rakhimov F.K. noted: “In general, primary vocational education is one of the priority directions in education and in targeted government policy of the Republic of Tajikistan, which is gradually developing. From year to year greater attention of people increases to receive vocational education in all spheres of education and therefore need for professional education is growing. Despite this, we have a number of difficulties, first and foremost this is due to the weak material-technical base and the mismatch of human resources of teachers of primary vocational education.

In his interview the Deputy Minister of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan Rakhimov F.K. noted: “In general, primary vocational education is one of the priority directions in education and in targeted government policy of the Republic of Tajikistan, which is gradually developing. From year to year greater attention of people increases to receive vocational education in all spheres of education and therefore need for professional education is growing. Despite this, we have a number of difficulties, first and foremost this is due to the weak material-technical base and the mismatch of human resources of teachers of primary vocational education.

According to agreement, which was signed by the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Association of Scientific and Technical Intelligentsia of Tajikistan, we cooperate effectively in addressing difficulties in the primary - vocational education”.

Broadcast of the film will go in 3 languages (Tajik, Russian and English) on local and national channels.

Within the framework of the project also large information boards and positrons were developed and put in two regional centers of Khatlon and Sughd.

Meeting of the project partners

Within the framework of project “Community safety in the Ferghana Valley” which is implemented by PO ASTI (RT) in cooperation with the international organization “Saferworld” (UK), PF “Foundation for Tolerance International” (KR) and PO “MIR” (RT) on November 21-22, 2014 meeting of the project partners was held in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic.
