Under the project “Community security in the Ferghana valley”, implemented by PO “ASTI” (RT) jointly with the International Organization “Saferworld” (UK), Public Foundation “Foundation for Tolerance International” (KR) and PO “Youth Initiatives for Development” (RT), on January 16-17, 2013 in Bishkek town of Kyrgyzstan a seminar was organized on exchange of experiences on the issues of cooperation of law enforcement agencies with population on ensuring community safety between the law enforcement agencies of Sughd region of Tajikistan and Batken, Osh and Jalal-Abad regions of the Kyrgyz Republic.

 

At the seminar, organized by the IO “Saferworld”, the basic principles and approaches of community security were discussed, as well as a number of issues related to cooperation of law enforcement agencies with a population within the framework of the project.
