A “sweet” trip of Kyrgyz youth to Tajikistan

The members of the youth contact group of Samarkandek village of Kyrgyzstan came to Khujand in the second half of the day to familiarize themselves with the activities of Sughd region entrepreneurs. They were joined by 23 of their peers from Chorku jamoat in Isfara.

Today, on the initiative of the public organization “Association of Scientific and Technical Intelligentsia of Tajikistan”, in partnership with the Public Foundation for Tolerance International of Kyrgyzstan, a trip to Tajikistan was organized with the support of UNDP Tajikistan in the framework of the project “Strengthening cooperation of youth in the border communities of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan”. According to the program of the trip, participants visited the confectionery shop “Shirinihoi Tojikiston” (Sweets of Tajikistan). Director of “Shirinihoi Tojikiston” LLC, Firdavs Rasulov told the youth about the history of the establishment of this enterprise and noted that it has covered the confectionery market for 10 years already. In order to get an idea about the stages of preparation of a confectionery product, he organized an excursion into three workshops: making dough, baking and decorating. Abdumalikov Boymat, a resident of Samarkandek village, said:

- I have been thinking about establishment of a confectionery shop in the border area of the two countries for a long time, but I did not know how to start everything. Today I received advice from the staff of “Shirinihoi Tojikiston” and now I know the further steps when opening my business. It is gratifying that the project envisaged such educational trips. On the other hand, thanks to the UNDP project, I have acquainted friends in Tajikistan.

Farishtamokh Safarzoda, a resident of Isfara town, shot her trip on her mobile phone, and says:

If Boymat opens a confectionery shop in his village, then I will train qualified specialists”.

F. Safarzoda is a teacher of school #24, and she wrote a business plan. According to her business plan, she wants to open a confectionery shop in her school canteen and conduct classes in confectionery. Thus, she wants to attract girls to the third stage of education.

Within the framework of the Business Study Tour, participants visited the historical museum of Sughd and the Cultural Park of Kamoli Khudjandi, and then they made a general photo for the memory at the 25th anniversary of independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
