Festival of Friendship in Isfara

Today, a basket of bread and sumalak, and various sweets to Tajikistan were brought from Kyrgyzstan. More than 40 residents of the villages of Ming-Oruk and Min-Bulak of Leilek district arrived with festive meals to Isfara.


At the school No. 56 of Surkh jamoat, a festival of friendship between Tajiks and Kirgiz was held with the participation of residents of border areas. This event was organized in accordance with the joint action plan of the Youth Contact Group of Surkh jamoat.
The initiators of the event greeted the guests with bread and salt and organized an exhibition of handicrafts of women weaving - adras in order to get acquainted with the traditions and culture of Tajik people.


At the beginning of the event, the national anthems of both countries were sounded as a sign of respect for state sacred objects. Further, YCG members made cultural and literary issues. Also, the youth of Kyrgyzstan in the musical number performed modern dance as a sign of the inviolable friendly ties of neighbouring countries.
Aidai Kursanaliyeva, who came to Tajikistan for the first time said:

— Not only meI, but all the participants of the Festival were delighted with the hospitality of the Tajiks. Our joy from participating in this event, we — the youth expressed in a dance.
“Our friendship with Kyrgyzstan will not end with such a festival”, said Miravezov Masud, a member of the YCG from jamoat Surkh. We promised each other that we will be in contact by phone and we will strengthen our communication.
At the end of the Friendship Festival, an exhibition of the best drawings of the pupils of the target schools of the project “Peace and Cooperation Begins With Us” was organized (the project is being implemented by the PO ASTI with the support of UNICEF). Also, the receiving party gave gifts to guests.
