Participation in training

Participation in training on: Older Citizens’ MonitoringFor an in-depth study of the method « Older Citizens’ Monitoring», project staff had visited the course «Older Citizens’ Monitoring» conducted by HAI trainer Amanda Heslop in HAI Regional Office in Bishkek. This training was attended by members of the project, employees of the center «Babushka Adoption» and ГСП from all cities of the republic of Kyrgyzstan.

The training took place in the office of HAI. Training began with the introduction of participants, participants' expectations from the upcoming training, setting goals. During the training, participants were provided with theoretical information:

- Older Citizens’ Monitoring concept

- Visual tools

- Identification of key issues

- Interview with a group using a family of mapping

- Information about the skills of interview

- Categories of poverty and wealth

- Breakdown of expenses and source of income

- Preparation of monitoring plan

- Review of monitoring plan

- Preparation of test sheets and the interview

- Analyzing information and planning for the OCM

All sessions have been learned in practical exercises.
