Early intervention is the earnest of success in disability prevention.

Sadriddin Khomidzoda was born with the head trauma and as a result of it, he was behind of physical development. At age of 3 he could not seat, nor stand. Today he is 4, he does not speak, does not eat independently.
Starting with 2018 in Ayni district the Community based rehabilitation program for people with disabilities has been implementing by public organizations ASTI and DARO by the support of district Khukumat and financial assistance of European Union and Caritas Germany. Sadriddin is the client of the program. Community rehabilitation worker (CRW) visits weekly Sadriddin’s family, consults boy’s mother and grandmother what kind of exercises has to be done in order the child will lean to seat and to stand.
It should be noted that the family’s desire to help the child to overcome the disease plays a great role. By joint efforts of CRW and the family Sadriddin has learnt to seat, stand. Step by step they go together to the intended aims. The project granted the go-cart to the family in order the child will learn to go.
Today this wonderful child goes though while only by help of the go-cart. But the family has the aim, and they will reach it, one day Sadriddin will not need the go-cart and he will play and run with another children.
The community based rehabilitation program is completed in the frame of the project “Supporting civil society in applying Community Based Rehabilitation for persons with disabilities in Ayni district”, which is funded by the European Union and Caritas Germany and implemented with support of Local Government Authority of Ayni district and in close partnership with public organizations ASTI and DARO.
