The role of women in society
PO "ASTI" held an information meeting on the topic "The role of women in society". This event was attended by first-year students. The purpose of the meeting is to raise awareness among young people on rights and obligations to promote gender equality, noting the importance of the role of women. Project staff provided information on SDGs, especially SDG 5 - Achieve Gender Equality and Empower All Women and Girls. The participants took an active part in the meeting, answering on the project staff questions.
This event is held by PO "ASTI" in the framework of the project "Supporting and Strengthening of Women's Resource Center" with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe.

"Сексуально-гендерное насилие", "домашнее насилие", "насилие в отношении женщин и девочек" - подобные термины всё чаще можно услышать с высоких международных трибун, а в кругу простых обыватей рассказывают об очередном насилии над беззащитной девочкой или о попытке суицида молодой мамы, не выдержавшей очередных побоев от своего мужа.

On February 1, 2022 PO ASTI carried out the informational session with attendance of the policemen in B. Gafurov district, Soghd oblast within the framework of the project “To build the capacity and increase the gender sensitivity of Judges, Police Officers and state legal aid lawyers for more effective investigation, prosecution and adjudication of SGBV related cases".
