The role of women in society
PO "ASTI" held an information meeting on the topic "The role of women in society". This event was attended by first-year students. The purpose of the meeting is to raise awareness among young people on rights and obligations to promote gender equality, noting the importance of the role of women. Project staff provided information on SDGs, especially SDG 5 - Achieve Gender Equality and Empower All Women and Girls. The participants took an active part in the meeting, answering on the project staff questions.
This event is held by PO "ASTI" in the framework of the project "Supporting and Strengthening of Women's Resource Center" with the support of the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe.

On 27 September 2022 in the city of Khujand, in hostel No. 1, an information meeting was held on the topic “Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence”. During the event, participants discussed the topic of violence, types of violence and the law on the prevention of domestic violence. Also, girls were aware of their rights and the law on prevention of domestic violence.
This event is held by PO “ASTI” with the support of the OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe.

PO ASTI carried out two-days training for judges in B. Gafurov district of Soghd region on February 14-15, 2022 within the framework of the project “To build the capacity and increase the gender sensitivity of Judges, Police Officers and state legal aid lawyers for more effective investigation, prosecution and adjudication of SGBV related cases".
