Marketing analysis of sales market
At the three-day seminar on "Marketing analysis of sales market," organized within the project "Poverty Reduction in Tajikistan through education and informal training (PATENT)” funded by the European Commission, the participants were students of short courses of partner institutions of primary vocational education of Sughd and Khatlon regions.
Seminars were held on 14-16 July, 2010 in a vocational school of communication in Dushanbe, and on 01-03 August, 2010 in the Hotel "Tawhid" in Khujand. These are the students who have participated in the first two phases of the training cycle, at the seminars on "Business Planning" (24-26 June, 2010 in Dushanbe, and 14-16 July 2010 in Khujand) and "The right choice of credit" (08-10 June, 2010 in Dushanebe, and 21-23 July, 2010 in Khujand), who wish to obtain and improve their knowledge on "Marketing and sales market analysis, history of development, basic aims, principles, components, research on marketing, advertisement, product life cycles, promotion of products in new markets, price and pricing.
During the seminars, participants learned about the history of emergence of the marketing, the main aims and principles, the components, research and analysis of the market, advertisement, price, pricing, etc.
The purpose of this seminar was to familiarize the students with the concept of marketing and marketing activities, correctly assess the state of marketing, sales market analysis by research methods, to introduce the life cycle of goods, to introduce the principle of the 4 Ps (product, place, price, promotion). Give a clear definition of marketing, its role in the production and marketing activities as well as the role of advertisement in this activity.
In the course of the seminar was used interactive methodology of conducting seminars for adults:

- Open and closed issues
- Discussions in small groups
- Situational tasks
- Handouts
- Discussion and filling of material obtained
- Presentation of the activities in small groups
- Games
It was, particularly, interesting and important to participants to learn about marketing researches, methods and principles of marketing, interesting and lively was the study of advertisement, the history of its emergence, its types, methods of use, brand, packaging and other areas of advertisement for the sale of products/services.
