The poorest families: Implications for survival

A distinctive feature of poverty as a global phenomenon, we can consider the existence of certain number of the needy people, who for one reason or another, as most of the reasons doesn’t depend on them, have no opportunity to take active steps in the process of improving their lives, do not see the way out of the situation, and make no efforts to try to live better than today.

In this study, we attempted to analyze the system of life-support for the poorest families with the aim of identifying opportunities to influence those factors that contribute to improving the quality of their lives, or to understand the true reasons of the families’ misery situation. The question that still remains important for us is how these families turned out in the poorest group, and what the main reason for their exclusion was.

...Our study revealed the following: It was found that not all families from among the poorest ones were able on their own to improve their lives, even with considerable assistance of development programs; and here it is required targeted, adequate, reasonable social protection of the state. Throughout the whole of humanity there have always been families who needed mercy and grant assistance. We still have needy families.

We are confident that activation of the function at the macro - and micro-level to mitigate the problems of poverty in the country by using science-based data about the true picture of poverty in their local context will allow to achieve greater effectiveness in this difficult matter.
